Moxy Anne is a 20-year old rocker from Southern California who plays it loud and never holds back. Blessed with strong Italian genes, she’s got thick, wild hair, a big heart, and an even bigger voice. With classical training and a thirst for hard rock, she brings it, with carefully honed energy and skill. Moxy performs regularly in Orange County, the Inland Empire, and the greater Los Angeles area. She has performed all over the US in venues such as Disneyland, Carnegie Hall, and the LA Forum.
Growing up in Costa Mesa, California, Moxy received recognition for her powerful, unique voice. She began her vocal training at 5 years old and did her first professional studio session at age 7, singing background vocals for Crystal Lewis. For 7 years she performed and recorded with the acclaimed Southern California Children's Chorus, receiving two Director's Awards, and allowing her to provide vocals for various movie scores/soundtracks, and work and perform with acts such as Aerosmith, Our Last Night, and Jackie Evancho. At age 15, she started her own band, Moxy and The Influence, which toured internationally, garnered thousands of international fans, released two EP, several singles, and three professionally produced music videos. At age 17, she began singing and subbing for professional cover groups across Southern California; she currently performs both solo and with several different groups across the southwest.
In addition to forming multiple musical groups of her own (including Moxy and The Influence), she has grown beyond her rock roots and across the board of genres, going from rock to jazz to country to pop to R&B seamlessly. Moxy has toured multiple times through areas of the US, Canada, and Mexico, and played at famed venues such as The Whiskey A-Go-Go in Hollywood, The House Of Blues Downtown Disney, The Coach House, Chain Reaction, and the Orange County Fair. She has opened for acts such as Missing Persons, Great White, The Iron Maidens, I Am Ghost, HUDSON, LA Guns, Dishwalla, Farewell My Love, and Hardcore Superstar.
She has had the honor of studying vocals privately with Gina Saputo, Teryn McPherson, and Bill Cantos, and has studied under the direction of Lori Loftus and Dr. John Sutton in groups such as SCCC's Ensemble Chorus and APU's University Choir and Orchestra (UCO). She was also a member of the inaugural year of APU's Choral Scholars, singing medieval, renaissance, and modern music in an a cappella group of only 12 singers.
She is currently beginning her senior year at Azusa Pacific University, where she has made the Dean's List every semester, and will soon complete Bachelors Degree in Commercial Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance.
